5 Reasons Technology Should be in the Classroom!

Technology increases comprehension of information.
1. With the variety of ways that information can be given in a multimedia presentation, the students are given many different ways that they are able to understand. These different ways include: Text, Photos, Songs, Videos, etc.
Technology allows for easier collaboration.
1. Students have access to things like Google docs and Twitter that make it easier for all of the students to contribute at the same time.
Technology keeps students more engaged.
1. Students are more interested in things involving technology because most students are very comfortable with it. If a school has a 1 to 1 student to laptop system, this is even better. It allows for all the students to be participating in lessons through games like KaHoot and Quizlet Live.
Information becomes more accessible.
1. The internet has endless amounts of information that is at the fingertips of anyone with an internet connection. This not only allows for students to satisfy their every curiosity, but it helps teachers be more knowledgable too.
The use of technology in the classroom fosters student’s creativity.
1. Students have access to tons of different programs that allow them to be creative. Things like Prezi, which is a presentation tool, make it easy for students to be very creative with the way that they present information. Tools like Photoshop are a great way for students to actually create art and be creative in that way.
